New attraction for old slate quarry

The Llanberis slate quarry in North Wales was shut down during the mid 1960's. The men who worked there worked on the slate face cutting and using dynamite to drop slate to ground was taken away to be turned into roof tiles or surrounds for fireplaces etc.

The main part of the Quarry is now a museum and you can have a nosey round into the workshops, quarry hospital, lovely walks discovering old relics from the quarry. Snowdon stands across from the quarry.

Beside you can take climb courses and watch divers using the quarry as a pool.
